Youth Archery

Quick Start Archery -- Ages 8-15

The Quick Start Archery program is taught by USA Archery Certified Instructors and is designed for those who may be interested in archery or may want to take the Youth Archery program but want to try it out first. Children ages 8-15 years old can take this one and a half hour class and briefly learn about archery safety, the parts of the bow and arrow, and how to shoot. This class will be held at Southgate Park; all equipment provided!

Registration fees are $10.00 per resident child and $12.00 per non-resident child.

Spring Session - Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Summer Session - Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30p.m.

Beginner Youth Archery -- Ages 8-15

The Youth Archery Program is taught by USA Archery Certified Instructors and is designed to educate local youths and teens about archery, with an emphasis on safety. Students will learn how to use recurve and compound bows, as well as archery safety, range set-up, and more. This class will meet once a week, on Wednesday evenings for four weeks. This program is held at Southgate Park; all equipment is provided.

Spring Session - Wednesdays, April 17 - May 8, 2019 from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.

Summer Session - Wednesdays, August 21- September 11, 2019 from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.

Registration fees are $25.00 per resident child and $30.00 per non-resident child. 

Intermediate Youth Archery -- Ages 8-15

The Intermediate Youth Archery Program is a program designed for those who have had formal archery instruction.  This could include our beginner archery class or any other outside instruction.  However, prior experience is necessary.  If you are new to archery, please take the beginner class (see above).

This class will focus on safety, proper form, archery games, and friendly competition.  Class will be held once a week at Southgate Park for 4 weeks.  Participants can bring their own equipment or borrow equipment from the City of Green.

Classes will be held once a week for four weeks, on Monday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All classes will be lead by a USA Archery Certified Instructor.

Summer Session- Mondays, August 5 - August 26, 2019

Advanced Youth Archery-Ages 8-15

The Advanced Archery class is for those who have taken our intermediate archery class.  This class will focus on safety, proper form, and friendly competition.  Archers will participate in a target shooting, tournament-style format each week.

Classes will be held once a week for four weeks, on Monday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All classes are lead by a USA Archery Certified Instructor.

Spring - Mondays, April 1- April 22, 2019

Registration fees are $25.00 per resident child and $30.00 per non-resident child.
