Team up to Offer a Summer Tennis Camp June 3-7

Green, OH – The Green Parks and Recreation Division and the Green High School Tennis Coaches and team are offering the Bulldog Youth Tennis day camp June 3 – 7 at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road.

The camp for 5 to 18 year olds is a great way for children to experience the game. Children ages 5-10 years old will meet Monday through Friday from 9:00-10:30a.m. and children ages 11-18 years old will meet Monday through Friday from 10:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. Children must bring an age appropriate racquet, tennis shoes, and a bottle of water every day. Camp is $65 per student and $50 for each additional sibling.

The camp will include fun games and drills to teach the basic fundamentals of tennis, including groundstrokes, volleys, serves, lobs, and overheads. Scoring and match play will also be introduced.

To register for this program, contact Green Parks and Recreation at 330-896-6621. Because of the joint program with Green Tennis, registration must be paid with cash or check. Make checks payable to Green High School and submit with completed registration form to City of Green Parks & Recreation Office in person at 1755 Town Park Boulevard or by mail to PO Box 278, Green, OH 44232.
