Our 2018 Summer Day Camps will feature 5 different fun and exciting themes to ensure a great experience for our campers! The first camp begins June 11th and they will run through the third week of July (no camp from June 18-22). The camps are for children ages 7-12 and they cost $60 per week for reisdents of Green and $70 per week for non-residents. The camps are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. Children can be registered for all camps or individual camps if preferred.
All camps (with the exception of the Cooking Camp) will meet at the John Torork Community & Senior Center. Campers will spend most of their time outside doing activities on the grounds, playing at Patriot Playground, and walking to Central Park.
The tentative location for the Cooking Camp is the Green High School Consumer Science room (subject to change).
In order to keep our camps inclusive and open to children of all abilities, the City of Green Parks and Recreation staff collaborates with the Summit Developmental Disabilities Board Inclusion Department. Throughout the summer, inclusion strategies and coaching are provided. This allows us to better serve campers of varying abilities, creating a quality camp experience for everyone.
We also take registrations Monday through Friday, from 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. in the Parks & Recreation Office (1755 Town Park Boulevard). You can also register over the phone at 330-896-6621.
