Summer Day Camps 2017

Our 2017 Summer Day Camps will feature 5 different fun and exciting themes to ensure a great experience for our campers! The first camp begins June 5th and they will run through the first week of July. The camps are for children ages 7-12 and they cost $60 per week for reisdents of Green and $70 per week for non-residents. The camps are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. Children can be registered for all camps or individual camps if preferred.   

All camps (with the exception of the Cooking Camp) will meet at the John Torork Community & Senior Center.  Campers will spend most of their time outside doing activities on the grounds, playing at Patriot Playground, and walking to Central Park.

The tentative location for the Cooking Camp is the Green High School Consumer Science room (subject to change).

Sports Camp

June 5th - June 9th

During sports camp, your child will have the opportunity to participate in, practice, and play a wide variety of sports throughout the week!  We will play basketball, kickball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, and much more.  Kids will have a chance to make new friends, practice their skills, and learn new sports on a daily basis.  If your child is a sports lover, they will truly enjoy this camp!

Drama, Dance, and Digital Art

June 12th - June 16th

This week of camp will encompass a wide variety of entertainment options.  Campers will be able to explore performing arts like drama and dance, as well as digital arts such as moviemaking and video production.  If your child is a movie buff, dancer, or entertainer, then they will love this week of camp!

Sci-fi Camp

June 19th - June 23rd

 We will delve into everyone’s favorite things about science and science fiction.  Campers can plan on learning and demonstrating real scientific principles through fun and memorable activities.  They can also plan on using their imaginations during exciting science fiction games and crafts.  This camp is sure to be out-of-this-world fun!

Wild Water Warriors Camp

June 26th - June 30th

 This is our most wet and wild week of the summer!  Our campers will partake in fun, water-based activities like water balloon games, squirt gun fights, slip n’ slides, and more.  They will also have the chance to play like gladiators in many thrilling physical challenges throughout the week (obstacle courses, inflatable jousting, and more).

Cooking Camp

July 3rd, July 5th - July 7th (We will not meet for camp on July 4th)

 Have a junior chef in your kitchen?  If so, then they will really enjoy our cooking camp.  We will be making kid friendly recipes using real kitchen appliances.  We will cook and bake in small groups and we will also have cooking games and contests.  All the cooking will be supervised by the camp staff.  Campers will be able to eat what they make, so please let us know of any dietary restrictions or food allergies.
