Simple Recycling Discontinues Service in Green, effective December 7
Green, OH – The City of Green received notice from Simple Recycling, a curbside household and textile recycling program, that they will discontinue service in Green, effective Dec. 7. The final pick-up begins the week of December 3 – 7.
The program, offered free to the City and all its residents, offered curbside pickup of household items, clothing and textiles that otherwise would have been sent to the landfill. The program began in 2015 in the City of Green collecting nearly 5000 pounds of recycled materials since the beginning of the program. Recently Simple Recycling also ended service in the City of Akron.
The City encourages residents to recycle usable household items and clothing by donating them to local charities. Regular curbside recycling in the City of Green, provided by the Kimble Companies, is not impacted by this change.
