ShamROCK Dance Party is March 18 to Benefit Green Veterans Memorial Park

City Hosts Fundraising Event, ShamROCK Dance Party – a parent/child dinner dance, to benefit the Green Veterans Memorial Park Fund

Green, OH – The City of Green is hosting a family-friendly fundraiser – the ShamROCK Dance Party, a parent/child dinner dance, on March 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center, 1800 Steese Road, to benefit the Green Veterans Memorial Park Fund.   Tickets are $25 per one adult/one child couple.  Additional adult tickets are $20 each and additional children are $5 each.  Tickets are available online at or by calling 330-896-6621.  All proceeds will benefit the Veterans Park.

The event, sponsored by Jeff Evans Insurance and Akron General LifesStyles- -Green, will include dinner provided by Mission BBQ followed by dancing with DJ Hats-Off Entertainment and capturing memories in the photo booth.  Cookie decorating (and eating) will complete the night compliments of Giant Eagle Market District.   Parents or grandparents are invited to dress in their best or deck out in the color green for the ShamROCK Dinner Dance.  In addition, raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win some destination baskets full of family fun.    

The City has launched a $125,000 fundraising campaign to complete the final phases of the Green Veterans Memorial Park in 2017.  The final two elements to be completed are the First Responders Monument to honor our everyday heroes and the second Stories of Service Grove Walkway.   

Fundraising events planned in addition to the ShamROCK Dance include an Honor Our Heroes Poker Run on June 4; and Valor Ball on July 8.  Dining out events are planned monthly March through June including Menches Brothers (March 13 &14); Jerzees (April 11); Cici’s Pizza (May 4) and Chipotle (TBD in June).  In addition, t-shirts are being sold at each of the events by the Green Fire Women’s Auxiliary Group to benefit the park.   Memorial pavers are also being sold to raise funds for the final phase.  For complete details and updates on fundraising activities, visit
