Planet Green Seminar Series Kicks Off April 10

The City of Green’s Three-Part Planet Green Seminar Series Kicks off on April 10 at Central Park Community Hall, 1755 Town Park Blvd.

Green, OH –The City of Green’s three-part Planet Green Seminar Series kicks off Wednesday, April 10 with a discussion of the incredible value of Chimney Swifts and how to attract them to your house.  Planet Green seminars are held at Central Park Community Hall, 1755 Town Park Blvd beginning at 6 p.m.  Last year more than 100 people attended the Planet Green series, presented in partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Planet Green is presented by Judy Semroc, Conservation Specialist of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. In addition to her work in the Natural Areas Division of Cleveland Museum of Natural History, she is the founder of Chrysalis in Time‚ the first Ohio chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA). In 2013, Judy was the recipient of the "Outstanding Staff Achievement Award" for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Judy has co-authored two natural history guides, "Dragonflies & Damselflies of Northeast Ohio” in 2008, and "Goldenrods of Northeast Ohio: A Field Guide to Identification & Natural History" in 2017. As a former Petroleum Geologist and science teacher, Judy loves to learn about and share her passion for the natural world through hikes, interpretive programs and photography.
