Mayor Gerard Neugebauer Invites the Community to Walk with Him
on April 4 National Walking Day
Green, OH – Mayor Gerard Neugebauer invites the community of Green to join him and the employees of the City of Green for a walk in the park on Thursday, April 4 at 12 p.m. to celebrate National Walking Day. The Mayor will lead a 1.5-mile walk around Central Park, 1755 Town Park Blvd., to promote walking as a heart healthy activity. All residents, local businesses and others are invited to join the employees of Green or are encouraged to get out at lunch time to take a walk on April 4.
All attending are encouraged to wear red for heart health. Also special thanks to ACME Fresh Market for the donation of fruit and water.
The day is sponsored by The American Heart Association to promote the health benefits that walking can provide and as a great way to reconnect with friends, family and your community. To celebrate the date, the American Heart Association recommends you take a 30-minute walk.
