Mayor Dick Norton to Speak at Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Event
on Wednesday, June 26 regarding City’s Safety Program
Green, OH –Mayor Dick Norton will speak to a group of business leaders and government officials as part of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation check distribution announcement event on Wednesday, June 26 at 10 a.m. in Columbus at the Café Napolitana, 40 N. High Street.
At the event Governor Kasich and Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Administrator Steve Buehrer will present Mayor Dick Norton the City of Green’s rebate check for approximately $85,000. The City of Green along with one other municipality, Toledo, Ohio and 10 private businesses will be presented their checks by the Governor. The BWC is refunding more than 210,000 companies and governmental agencies more than a total of $1 billion.

As part of the event, Mayor Norton will share what the city is doing to ensure the safety of its workers including having an active safety committee, monthly employee safety meetings and purchasing equipment to assist in providing a safer work environment such as the purchase of two crash attenuators through a $20,040 BWC grant in 2012.
