LIVING GREEN is our commitment to operate through the lens of good stewardship for our people, our planet and for prosperity both today and into the future.

Download 2018 Application

In 2012, the City of Green developed the Living Green initiative to encourage good stewardship of our planet, our people and our finances.  In 2015, the city contracted with our recycling vendor, Kimble Companies, to provide a rebate based on the city's recycling volume.  A percentage of these funds, as well as those received from the city's Simple Recycling program, make possible the Living Green Community grant.

Projects should promote one or more of the following Living Green values:

·       Energy SavingsArtist Painting Rain Barrel

·       Water Quality & Conservation

·       Waste Reduction

·       Local Food

·       Community/Volunteer Engagement

·       Healthy community

Eligible applicants include:

  • Non-profits operating within the City of Green limits and whose work and mission largely benefit the residents of the City of Green
