City of Green, Green Schools Foundation and Green Branch Library
Launch a Book Drive for the Little Free Library at Central Park
Green, OH – This summer visitors to Central Park, 1755 Town Park Blvd, can find a good book to read. The City in collaboration with Green Schools Foundation and the Akron-Summit County Library Green Branch have teamed together to share the love of reading with park visitors. But before the Little Library is installed, books are needed.
The group is hosting a one-day book drive during the Celebration of Education on February 23 at Green High School from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Bring a new or gently used book (adult or children’s literature) to drop off at the Little Free Library table or purchase a book from the book fair at Celebration of Education to donate.
The first Little Free Library in Green will be installed in April 2019 at Central Park. Visitors to the park may take a book or leave a book. Green’s first Little Free Library is joining the more than 77,000 Little Free Libraries around the world that are sharing the love of reading, while building community.
