City of Green’s Farmers Market Opens on Tuesday, June 19 at 3838 Massillon Road;
Held weekly from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through October
Green, OH –Beginning Tuesday, June 19, the City of Green’s Farmers Market will be every Tuesday in the Summa Health System/YMCA parking lot, 3838 Massillon Road through October 9. From June 19 to Labor Day market hours are 3 to 7 p.m.; from September 4 to October 9 hours are 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Like prior years, the City expects more than 30 vendors committed to the market by peak harvest time.
At the first market, the following vendors are expected to attend: Bittnerbees (honey products); Brenckle Farms (vegetables); Earth Fare (natural foods market); Hattie’s Café & Gifts (baked goods, salsa and canned items); Hawk Natural Meats (grain feed beef and pork and free-range chicken); Kendee Candles; May’s Produce; Mazzocca Greenhouse (potted plants); Noon Sharpening (knife sharpening); Orange Wood Bake Shop (Baked goods); Our Daily Bread (baked goods); Rainbow Gardens (produce); The Pierogie Lady; and Walnut Drive Gardens.
“With the warm spring we have had, our first market is already packed with vendors,” said Kim Goodhart, market manager. “We usually don’t see this many vendors until after the 4th of July.”
Other vendors confirmed for later in the summer include: Marvin's Gardens; Master Gardeners of Summit County; and Snyder’s Orchard. Additional vendors are added weekly.
