Green Fire Division Hires Two New Firemedics;
Promotes One to Lieutenant
Green, OH – Green Mayor Gerard Neugebauer and Green Fire Chief Jeff Funai are pleased to announce the following promotions and hires to the City of Green Fire Division.
Keith Geiger promoted to Lieutenant. Geiger manages the Fire Inspections Bureau and provides fire safety education and training to businesses and residents. Geiger joined Green Fire in 2001 as a firemedic after serving three years as a Firemedic for Springfield Township. In addition to his service in Green, Geiger continues to serve as a firemedic for the Village of Reminderville with 21 years of service. Geiger has served as a member of our tactical paramedic team for 12 years and a member of the hazardous materials response team for 7 years. Geiger currently serves as one of the Zone Coordinators for the County Hazardous Materials Response Team. He also served as a member of the Union Executive Board. Certified as a Fire Instructor, Life Safety Inspector, and an Arson Investigator, Lt. Geiger holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from the University of Cincinnati.
In addition, the Green Fire Division is pleased to announce the following new hires to the division: Firemedics Joseph Dies and Daniel Edwards.
