FreedomFest is the City's community festival held at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, to kick off the 4th of July holiday season.   

Admission is a school supply to benefit Green Good Neighbors; Free Parking.

Items for donation to Green Good Neighbors' back-to-school drive:  Pens, pencils, crayons, 3-prong pocket folders, college and wide ruled spiral notebooks, college and wide ruled loose leaf paper, pink erasers, glue sticks, bottles of glue, and plastic pencil boxes.

Please DO NOT bring pets OR sparklers!

Saturday, June 29
Noon - 11 p.m.

  • Children's Activities, Train Rides, Food, Beer Garden, -- noon - 9 p.m.
  • Skydivers at 8:15 p.m.
  • Fireworks at 10:15 p.m.
  • Fun! 
  • Entertainment Schedule on or near the Kempthorn Stage:  
    12 p.m. - Dr. U. R. Awesome 
    1 p.m. - Rockin' Robots
    2 p.m. - Outback Ray Animal Show
    3 p.m. - Bingo, provided by Green View Assisted Living!
    4 p.m. - Diana Durkin Dancers
    4:30 p.m. - Theatre 8:15 - Performance
    5 p.m. - MacConmara Dancers
    6 p.m. - Akron Chapter B.H.S. Chorus
    8:15 p.m. - Skydivers, Claire Holdren soloist
    8:30 p.m. - Moving in Stereo, a Cars Tribute Band
    10:15 p.m. - Fireworks
