City of Green’s Annual FreedomFest is filled with family fun
on June 26 & 27 at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road

Green, OH –The City of Green’s annual community event, FreedomFest is Friday, June 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, June 27 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road.   Free admission.  Fireworks are scheduled for approximately 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 27. 

 The festival begins Friday evening at 6 p.m. with family-fun activities including bounce houses, zip line and more; food, and live music performed by Cleghorn, an America’s Celtic rock band at 6:15 along with the MacConmara Irish Dancers; and Straight-on, a Heart tribute band at 8:15 p.m.

On Saturday, family-fun activities begin at 12 p.m. and will close at 8 p.m.   Activities include five bounce houses and other inflatable activities, zip line, climbing wall, laser maze, farm yard playland, and more.   In addition, local businesses will be exhibiting their goods and services, and food will be available for purchase throughout the day.  

On Saturday, live musical performances will begin at 6:15 p.m. with Cleghorn, along with the MacConmara Irish Dancers, followed by One, a U2 tribute band, at 8:30 p.m.   Prior to the 8:15 p.m. performance, skydivers* will descend on the park – a crowd favorite.   Fireworks* will begin at 10:15 p.m.

Free parking for FreedomFest will be available at Boettler Park and at various parking lots along International Parkway.  Handicap parking will be available at Boettler Park.  Local businesses and not-for-profits interested in exhibiting at FreedomFest may contact the Parks and Recreation office at 330-896-6621 or email   Fee to exhibit is $125.

*In the event of inclement weather, the city reserves the right to launch fireworks prior to the 10:15 scheduled start.  If weather determines the fireworks show should be canceled, the fireworks show will be held Sunday, June 28.    Please follow the City of Green on Facebook ( or Twitter (@cityofgreen) for day of event cancellation or rescheduling information in the event of rain or severe weather.
