Farmers Market and Concerts in the Park Every Tuesday This Summer

Green Farmers Market and Tuesday Concerts in the Park Begin June 12

GREEN, OH – With more than 26 farms, food artisans and food trucks registered and concerts in the park each market day, the 2018 Green Farmers Market plans to be the place for family-fun on Tuesdays with lots of yummy treats, fresh produce, live music, and don’t forget the Central Park Splash Pad (open to 7 p.m. daily).   The market and concerts-in-the-park are Tuesdays June 12 through August 28 at Central Park, 1755 Town Park Blvd. from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.   Concerts-in-the-Park are from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The market is located within Central Park under the Farmers Market trellises near the Central Administration Building parking lot.  Parking, with easy access to the market, is available at the Green Memorial Stadium.   Additional parking is available at the Central Administration Building and overflow lot at 1755 Town Park Blvd. 

Returning vendors this year include: Aida's Bakery; Bath Bombs by Nana; Bath Time at Ya-Ya's; Billy's Gourmet Concessions; D'nA Maple Syrup; Earth Song Farm; Grandma's Recipes; Hawk Meats; Hardy Homes Candles; May's Produce; Moreland Fruit Farm; and Yipp Yipps Dog Biscuits.

Food trucks include: Swenson's Food Truck (July 10 & August 14); The Pierogi Lady (every other week beginning June 12), Billy’s Gourmet Concessions (Tropical Asian Fusion food), and Morrison’s Café (located at the City’s concession area).

New vendors this season include: Blue Barn Winery; Earth Song Farm, Empty Bin Zero Waste; Forage & Gather; Hardy Homes Candles, Lucky Penny Creamery; Moreland Fruit Farm, Oceans Ohio, Inc., Paparazzi Accessories with Jewel; Peace, Love, and Little Donuts; Pixie's Cookie Shoppe, LLC; Rowdy Beans Coffee Roasters; Spoil Me; Soul Rolls; and Yoga Bliss.

Concerts in the Park

The following performers are scheduled for the Concert-in-the-park at the Central Park Amphitheater from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., weather permitting.  No concert or market on July 3.

August 21 - The Akron Derbytown Chorus/Barbershop Chorus
August 28 - Shooter Sharp & The Shootouts
