New Family Fun Event, East Liberty Park Community Day, is August 2

City of Green’s East Liberty Park Community Day
is Saturday, August 2 at East Liberty Park

 Green, OH – The City of Green invites residents and friends to come enjoy East Liberty Park, 471 East Turkeyfoot Lake Road, for its East Liberty Park Community Day supported by Buehler’s Fresh Food of Portage Lakes on Saturday, August 2.  The day will be filled with recreation activities, friendly competition and family fun throughout the day and a FREE community concert featuring Green’s own Phil ‘n’ the Blanks begins at 5 p.m.   

Activities, which start at various times between 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., include:

Basketball - 3 on 3 contest and hot shot contest

Baseball -- home run derby and ball to bucket contest

Pickle Ball lessons and double play

Field day games -- ball throw, wheelbarrow race, running race, three-legged race, bear crawl, crabwalk, relay race, sack race, Frisbee throw and soccer ball partner walk

Registration for events will begin at 12 pm with pre-registration for ALL of the day's activities or pre-register online by Friday, August 1.  Registration closes at 1pm.   Participants are grouped by age categories for children and adults.  Prizes will be awarded for winners of each category and event.  

FREE Hot dogs, chips, and water will be provided by Buehler’s Fresh Foods for 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Legend's Sports Pub and Grille is donating raspberry iced tea.  The evening will culminate with a FREE concert from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. featuring Phil 'n the Blanks.
