Green’s Drug Task Force and Cover2 Resources is Hosting Green’s Community of First Responders Launch Party on July 25 Featuring Shane Runion, a CMA- Award Winning Artist

 

Green, OH – The City of Green’s Community of First Responders Launch Party is Thursday, July 25 at Central Park, 1796 Steese Road, at 6:30 p.m.  The evening features family-fun, food trucks and a concert by Shane Runion, CMA-Award Winning Country Artist.  Admission is free. 

As part of the event, Mayor Gerard Neugebauer and the Green Drug Task Force will recognize our community of first responders and supporters of those in recovery and fighting substance abuse disorders including the Green Outreach team, Drug Task Force volunteers and community members trained to administer Narcan.

To join the community of first responders by being trained to administer Narcan, the City and Summit County Public Health is hosting several Narcan trainings prior to the event. The trainings are FREE and attendees will receive a FREE DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Naloxone) kit, which includes NARCAN. The trainings will be held at the Green Fire Station #1, 4200 Massillon Rd, Green on Thursday, July 11 and Thursday, July 18 at 5:30 p.m.

The concert is sponsored by Cover2 Resources and the City of Green Drug Task Force. Entertainment is held rain or shine.  In the event of storms or severe weather, performances may be cancelled.
