City of Green plans to lease Hartong Farm in Southgate Park;
Requests for Proposals from Interested Parties Accepted Until October 24, 2014
Green, OH – The City of Green is planning to lease the Historic Hartong Farmstead and land for use as a working farm. The historic farmstead is located within the City’s Southgate Park, 6521 Mt. Pleasant Road, and is suitable for fruit and vegetable production, management-intensive grazing operations, and integrated crop-livestock enterprises.
The Hartong Farm at Southgate includes a residence, several outbuildings for storage, barn for livestock, approximately 3.5 acres of fenced grazing land and approximately 15 acres of tillable land. The City is open to leasing all or part of the farm. This opportunity is open to all interested parties on a competitive basis.
This lease opportunity is fully described in the Hartong Farmstead Request for Proposal (RFP) document.
