City of Green’s Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony and Family Event is Saturday, December 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Park, 1795 Steese Road
Green, OH – Santa’s coming to Green on December 3! The City of Green’s annual Christmas-at- Central Park Holiday Event (formerly Christmas-At-Town Park) is December 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Park*, 1795 Steese Road.
The family-friendly event begins at 4 p.m. in the Central Park Community Hall with make-and-take crafts managed by Kindercare staff; holiday story time; and cookies and hot cocoa from Menches. Outside at Central Park, there will be ice sculpture demonstrations and free train rides around the park.
At 5:15 p.m., the Green Middle School 8th grade choir will perform followed by a sing-along as Santa arrives via fire truck at approximately 5:30 p.m. Santa and Mayor Gerard Neugebauer will light the community tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony, Santa will greet and visit with children in the community hall.
Admission to the event is a donation of a non-perishable food item or personal care item to be donated to Green Good Neighbors as part of the City’s annual Green Gives Back Food Drive.
In the event of rain or inclement weather, please visit the City’s website at www.cityofgreen.org for cancellation information of any of the outdoor activities after 2 p.m. on December3. Indoor activities including visiting with Santa, story time and crafts will not be cancelled.
