City of Green’s Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony and Family Event is Saturday, December 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Park, 1755 Town Park
Green, OH – Santa’s coming to Green on December 1! The City of Green’s annual Christmas-at- Central Park Holiday Event is December 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Park, 1755 Town Park Blvd. The family-friendly event begins at 4 p.m. in the Central Park Community Hall with make-and-take crafts from 4 – 5:30 p.m., led by volunteers from Kindercare staff and Green Girl Scouts Troop 90109. Cookies and hot cocoa provided by Menches Brothers will also be available. Outside at Central Park, there will be ice sculpture demonstrations, holiday photo spots, and free train rides for all around the Central Administration Building’s parking lot.
At 5:10 p.m., the Green Middle School 8thgrade choir will perform followed by a sing-along as Santa arrives via fire truck at approximately 5:30 p.m. to light the community tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony, Santa will greet and visit with children in the community hall until 7 p.m.
Admission to the event is a donation of a non-perishable food item or personal care item to be donated to Green Good Neighbors as part of the City’s annual Green Gives Back Food Drive. Parking available at the Green Intermediate School and Green Stadium parking lots, the City Administration overflow lot, and the Central Park parking lot on Steese Road.
In the event of rain or inclement weather, please visit the City’s website at www.cityofgreen.org for cancellation information of any of the outdoor activities on December 1. Indoor activities including visiting with Santa, crafts and snacks will not be cancelled.
