City of Green is hosting an essay contest for kids under 18
for Central Park Ribbon Cutting Event
Green, OH – The City is hosting a Central Park Grand Opening Essay Contest for kids 18 and under; winners will be invited to “cut” the ceremonial ribbon at our Grand Opening Event on July 9 at 5 p.m. at Central Park. The event will include a brief ceremony followed by a performance of the NEO Jazz Orchestra.
Kids are asked to complete the entry form and finish this sentence “I love Green Parks because…” and submit their answers by July 1 at 4 p.m. For complete rules and entry form, visit www.cityofgreen.org/central-park-grand-opening.
Multiple winners will be selected at random from the entries received. The winners will be notified via email on July 5.
About Central Park
The new nearly 8.5 acre park, located on Steese Road, is adjacent to the Green Intermediate School and Central Administration building. The park will feature an open-air amphitheater; 4,341- square foot community hall with an additional 824-square foot open patio for multi-use rental and program space; an almost one-mile walking path; splash pad; playground; and public restrooms.
