a presentation for business and community leaders, on April 10

Green, OH – Mayor Gerard Neugebauer invites business and community leaders to his Building Bridges for Business Engagement on Tuesday, April 10 at 8 a.m. at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.   The mayor will share an update on the City followed by a presentation launching Green’s newest economic development program to encourage engagement and community leadership – the Green Community Leadership Initiative.

The Green Community Leadership Initiative, formed in collaboration with Leadership Akron, is designed for business and community leaders who are interested in learning more about the community where they live, work and play.  The inaugural class will begin in September with sessions held every other week for a total of 6 sessions.  Applications are available beginning the week of April 2 at www.cityofgreen.org/leadership. The application deadline for the first Green Community Leadership Initiative class is May 31, 2018.

Building Bridges, geared toward the business community, is held twice a year to ensure open communication between businesses in Green and the City administration.

“Building Bridges is about connecting with our business community to share updates on key City initiatives, while learning what is important to them and their future success,” said Gerard Neugebauer. “We look forward to hearing feedback about our Green Community Leadership Initiative.”

Networking over coffee and continental breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m.   Presentation begins at 8:30 a.m.  Reservations are requested by emailing Kelly Lavaco, at klavaco@cityofgreen.org or 330-896-6602.
