15th Annual art-A-palooza is Saturday, August 17

15th Annual art-A-palooza, a Fine Art Show, is Saturday, August 17
at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road

Green, OH – The Green Arts Council and the City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division is pleased to present the 15th art-A-palooza, a fine art show, held at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, on Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.   More than 80 local and regional artists will be participating in this year’s event along with several food vendors. Admission and parking are free. 

 “As we celebrate our 15 years, I am excited how this show has grown to become a favorite for artists and attendees alike,” said Joan Smith, owner of Gallery 143 in Green and a board member for the Green Arts Council.  “This year we have created a nice mix of artists including some who have been with us from the beginning as well as many new talents.”

Live Music and Children’s Activities

A Children’s Activity tent will offer crafts for children.   The activity tent will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In addition to kids’ activities, there will be live entertainment performing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. including musicians Lisa Mulyak, Don Fulmer, One String Short, and Dale Galgozy.

Food Options

A variety of lunch and snack items will be available including lemonade and sausage sandwiches from John’s Concessions, roasted nuts from Holcomb’s Classics, LaVern’s Kettle Korn, Italian ice from LaDow’s Concessions, sandwiches and snacks from Cheezylicious Food Truck, healthy/vegan food from Ahimsa, chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A, and hamburgers from Menches Brothers.

And finally, in the Green Arts Council tent, the organization will be conducting a raffle of more than 60 donated art pieces from the various exhibitors to benefit its scholarship fund.   Raffle tickets are one for $1, six for $5 and 15 for $10. 

The Green Arts Council formed in 2003 to promote participation in and appreciation of the arts in the City of Green.
