Annual Fireworks and FreedomFest is Saturday, June 29

City of Green’s Annual FreedomFest, presented by Summa Health System & Legends Sports Pub & Grille, is June 29 at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road

Green, OH –The City of Green’s annual FreedomFest, sponsored by Summa Health System and Legends Sports Pub & Grille, is June 29 from noon until 11 p.m. at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road.

Beginning at noon to 8 p.m., free family fun activities including inflatables, a mechanical bull, mobile gaming, old-fashioned games, contests, and more are free for families to enjoy. In addition, a variety of local businesses will be exhibiting throughout the afternoon.

Food will be available from Chick-Fil-A; Stoddard’s Ice Cream; and The Pierogi Lady as well as a variety of vendors selling festival food such as French Fries, ice cream, funnel cakes, burgers, sausage sandwiches, gyros, BBQ beef sandwiches and more.

On the Legends stage at 6 p.m., the Danny Milan Band will perform a Billy Joel Tribute concert; at 8:30 p.m. headlining act 7 Bridges, an Eagles Tribute Band, will perform. At 8:15 p.m., skydivers, an annual tradition, will descend into the park. The evening will end with the City of Green’s annual fireworks display to begin at approximately 10:15 p.m.

Event sponsors include presenting sponsors Summa Health System & Legends Sports Pub and Grille; supporting sponsor General RV.

Free parking for FreedomFest will be available at Boettler Park and at various parking lots along International Parkway. Handicap parking will be available at Boettler Park. Local businesses and not-for-profits interested in exhibiting at FreedomFest may contact the Parks and Recreation office at 330-896-6621.

In the event of inclement weather, fireworks will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 30.
