How do I take advantage of tax amnesty?

During the available tax amnesty period, the City of Green will allow residents and businesses to:

  • File outstanding tax return(s) and pay the outstanding tax and half of the late filing fee in full without penalties and interest
  • Pay outstanding tax balance(s) and late filing fees without penalties and interest
  • Pay outstanding penalties only balance(s) at a 50% reduced rate

To this end, individuals and businesses that wish to take advantage of tax amnesty must calculate how much is owed for back taxes by preparing the appropriate returns or by referring to the appropriate City of Green tax bill.  Please keep in mind that, when filing, a tax return is not considered “complete” until our office receives all of the proper paperwork.
