The City of Green Announces Special Events for 2023

 

GREEN, OH -- The City of Green is excited to announce the special events for 2023. These exciting events are a great way to connect with others in the community and make memories.

  • Saturday, April 8: Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Enjoy breakfast with the Easter bunny and egg hunt in partnership with the Green Rotary Club at Central Park, 1795 Steese Road, at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, May 13: Fishing Derby. Enjoy a friendly fishing competition with others in the community at Boettler Park Pond, 5300 Massillon Road, at 9 a.m.
  • Monday, May 29: Memorial Day. In honor of Memorial Day celebrate with a pancake breakfast, parade, car show, and picnic at Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 Steese Road, at 10 a.m.
  • Thursdays, June 1 – July 13: Children’s Entertainment Series. Join in on the fun of reptile shows, magicians, animal shows and more at Central Park, 1795 Steese Road, at 10 a.m.
  • Saturday, June 24: FreedomFest. The City of Green's community festival to kick off the 4th of July holiday season with a full day of family fun activities, games, local food vendors, live music, skydivers, and fireworks! Join the fun at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, from 12 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 4: Raintree 5K Run. This takes runners around the beautiful Raintree Golf Course. This fun is a family fun event perfect for participants age 5+. Join in on the fun at Raintree Golf & Event Center, 4350 Mayfair Road, at 7:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, August 19: Art-a-Palooza. This event features over 60 regional artists, local food vendors, live music, and children’s activities at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, at 10 a.m.
  • Saturday, September 30: Twisted WilderFest. This popup festival full of makers and nature featuring local artists, crafters, and food vendors is a great time to enjoy local food vendors, crafts, live entertainment, games, and activities. This festival is at Southgate Park, 5300 Massillon Road, from at 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 21: Trick-or-Treat Trail. Take a walk around the park and collect candy and goodies from Green businesses and organizations. Join in on the Halloween fun at Central Park, 1795 Steese Road, at 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 11: Veterans Day. Join the community to honor local veterans and celebrate those in our community who have worn a U.S. military uniform at the Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 Steese Road, starting at 10:45 a.m.
  • Saturday, December 2: Christmas at Central Park. Usher in the holidays with Santa and the City of Green at our annual Christmas at Central Park, 1795 Steese Road, at 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 7: Senior Holiday Breakfast, enjoy a holiday breakfast with music and giveaways at the Raintree Golf & Event Center, 4350 Mayfair Road, at 10 a.m.
