Richard Brandenburg begins his first term as an at-Large Council Member. Richard is the Chair of the Environment & Parks Committee, Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental and Utilities Committee, and member of the Transportation, Connectivity, and Stormwater Committee.

Education & Employment

Richard is a CPA and career finance professional with more than 20 years of experience who works for an area Fortune 150 Company where he focuses on accounting, controls and tax compliance for corporate and non-profit entities. Richard earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1997 and a Master’s in Accounting in 2003. He has also earned designations as a Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Personal Financial Specialist.

Family

He and his wife, Heather, have lived in Green since 2009 with their 3 children, Noah, Abbie, and Natalie.
