Recycling in Summit County is primarily handled through Summit ReWorks. Additional information is provided for businesses residents needing to dispose of various materials.
The City of Green Recycling Center is located at 5383 Massillon Road and allows Green Residents to drop off recyclable items and yard waste. Proof of residency is required.

Free Untreated Mulch
Green residents may request untreated mulch from the Green Recycling Center for free. Residents must call ahead for mulch availability. Residents may load mulch on their own during normal operating hours.
Republic Curbside Recycling
Weekly curbside recycling is included in weekly waste pick-up provided by Republic. Recyclables will be collected on the same day as waste collection. Find more information about curbside recycling through Republic at RecyclingSimplified.com.

Alternative Aluminum Can Recycling Location
Fire Station Number 1 (located in parking lot behind the station at 1900 Steese Road) accepts aluminum cans only. Aluminum can recycling containers are also located in the parking lot behind the Green Administration Building, 1900 Steese Road. Green Fire administers the program, and proceeds from the sale of cans are donated to the burn unit at Akron Children's Hospital.
