Through the year, Green's Parks and Recreation Division offers a variety of recreation programs for children such as:
- Art programs
- Family events
- Fun events
- Sports programs
- Summer camps
The City of Green is now a site for First Tee! The First Tee Program aims to impact the lives of young people through the game of golf.
Explore the realm of ponies with the horseback riding instructors from the YMCA. Riders will explore the daily life of a pony.
The Youth Archery Program is taught by USA Archery Certified Instructors and is designed to educate local youths and teens about archery, with an emphasis on safety. Students will learn how to use recurve and compound bows, as well as archery safety, range set-up, and more. We offer a variety of classes, ranging from beginner to advanced youth archers. All equipment is provided!
Families with toddlers are invited to come enjoy a morning of fun snacks and activities! On the second Wednesday of each month (during the school year), parents or guardians can bring their toddlers (ages 5 and under) to enjoy a themed activity and snack from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. in Central Park. Pre-registration is required and there is a fee of $5 per resident child and $6 per non-resident child. For the most part, experiences are self-guided, so we do ask that parents and guardians participate along with their children.
This spring break camp is instructed by performers from Theatre 8:15. If your child has an interest in acting, dancing, or singing, this is a great opportunity to learn!
