Throughout 2019, the City of Green Parks and Recreation will be hosting Knit for the Needy making afghans and other "warm items" for those in need. This program is free and open to all who want to attend. The remaining programs will be held on Thursday, November 21, December 12, and December 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m temporarily at the Central Park Community Hall, 1755 Town Park Blvd., Uniontown, OH 44685 while the John Torok Community/Senior Center is renovated.
In January and February the event is weather permitting. Yarn will be provided, however, participants will need to bring their own knitting needles and/or crochet hooks.
Items Being Made
Members are encouraged to make any items that they would like, such as:
Patterns for various items will also be provided.
We will be adding a Quilting Club. Details coming soon.
Please bring a covered dish you would like to share. All the materials that are produced will be donated to the Green Good Neighbors.
