Income Tax

Income tax is paid by all persons eighteen years of age or older who are residents of, or are employed within, the City of Green. The tax also applies to the net profits of corporations, partnerships and businesses within Green. A credit of up to 2% will be allowed for taxes paid by Green residents on income earned in another municipality or Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) or Joint Economic Development Zone (JEDZ). Beginning with tax year 2004, the tax rate is 2%.

Due Dates & Interest Rates

The 2018 Income Tax return due date was April 15, 2019. The 2019 Income Tax return due date is April 15, 2020. The interest rate applicable to calendar year 2020 will be 7% per annum.

Rights & Responsibilities

Taxpayers' rights and responsibilities means the rights provided to taxpayers in Sections 71811, 71812, 71819, 71823, 71836, 71837, 71838, 5717011, and 5717.03 of the Ohio Revised Code and any corresponding ordinances of the Municipality, and the responsibilities of taxpayers to file, report, withhold, remit, and pay municipal income tax and otherwise comply with Chapter 718 of the Ohio Revised Code and resolutions, ordinances, and rules adopted by a municipal corporation for the imposition and administration of a municipal income tax.
