Quick Start Archery -- Ages 8-15
The Quick Start Archery program is taught by USA Archery Certified Instructors and is designed for those who may be interested in archery or may want to take the Youth Archery program but want to try it out first. Children ages 8-15 years old can take this one and a half hour class and briefly learn about archery safety, the parts of the bow and arrow, and how to shoot. This class will be held at Southgate Park a week before the Youth Archery program starts.
Registration fees are $10.00 per resident child and $12.00 per non-resident child.
Spring Session- Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Summer Session- Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Fall Session- Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 5:30-7:00p.m.
Beginner Youth Archery -- Ages 8-15
The Youth Archery Program is taught by USA Archery Certified Instructors and is designed to educate local youths and teens about archery, with an emphasis on safety. Students will learn how to use recurve and compound bows, as well as archery safety, range set-up, and more. This class will meet once a week, on Wednesday evenings for four weeks. Three sessions are available and the program is held in Southgate Park.
The first class will be for those ages 8 to 11 years old and will go from 5:00p.m. to 6:00p.m., at Southgate Park. The second class will be for those ages 12-15 years old and will go from 6:15p.m. to 7:15p.m.
Spring Session- Wednesdays, April 19 -May 10, 2017
Summer Session- Wednesdays, July 26- August 16, 2017
Fall Session- Wednesdays, September 6- September 27, 2017
Registration fees are $25.00 per resident child and $30.00 per non-resident child.
Intermediate Youth Archery -- Ages 8-15
The Intermediate Youth Archery Program is a program designed who have had formal archery instruction. This could include our beginner archery class or any other outside instruction. However, prior experience is necessary. If you are new to archery, please take the beginner class (see above).
This class will focus on safety, proper form, archery games, and friendly competition. Class will be held once a week at Southgate Park for 4 weeks. Participants can bring their own equipment or borrow equipment from the City of Green.
Classes will be held once a week for four weeks, on Monday evenings from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m. All classes will be lead by a USA Archery Certified Instructor.
Spring- Mondays, April 17- May 8, 2017
Summer- Mondays, July 24- August 14, 2017
Fall- Mondays, September 11- October 2, 2017
