Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans ParkOn November 11, 2010, the Green Veterans Memorial Park was dedicated. The memorial is located within the Green Community Park, 4224 Massillon Road.

Through the generosity of individuals, corporations and community groups, more than $255,000 was raised to build this beautiful tribute to our veterans.  Click here to view a list of our major donors.

Help Us Complete the Park in 2016

The final two sections of the orginial concept of the Green Veterans Memorial Park are the First Responders Memorial and the second Stories of Service Grove Walkway to be constructed to the west of the memorial (a mirror of the east side Stories of Service Grove).  This final construction phase is set to be dedicated on September 11, 2016.  

Cost to complete: $100,000
Fundraising for the final phase of the memorial is underway.

The First Responders Memorial design was revealed on Veterans Day, November 11, 2015.   The memorial will be located at the intersection of the Ribbon Walk and feature a sunken patio, memorial with water feature, seating and landscaping.
