Valor Ball, a fundraiser for the Green Veterans Memorial Park, is Saturday, July 8
at MAPS Air Museum, 2260 International Parkway
Green, OH – The City of Green is hosting the Valor Ball, a fundraiser for the Green Veterans Memorial Park and First Responders Memorial, on Saturday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at MAPS Air Museum, 2260 International Parkway. The formal event includes dinner, dancing and silent auction. Tickets are $100/person or $150 /couple. Table sponsorships are also available for $800, which includes eight tickets and mention in the event program.
The evening includes music from Michael Sonata, a Frank Sinatra impersonator, throughout the silent auction and dinner. Following dinner, music will be provided by The Akron Big Band.

All proceeds will benefit the Veterans Park and the First Responders Monument.
The City has launched a $125,000 fundraising campaign to complete the final phases of the Green Veterans Memorial Park in 2017. The final two elements to be completed are the First Responders Monument to honor our everyday heroes and the second Stories of Service Grove Walkway.
To date just under $50,000 has been raised or pledged for the park. Additional on-going fundraisers include:
T-shirts. The Green Fire Women’s Auxiliary Group is selling t-shirts to benefit the park.
Label pins. The City of Green is selling label pins for $5 each. Pins are available in the Parks and Recreation office, 1755 Town Park Blvd. Pins will also be on sale at FreedomFest at the Veteran Park booth.
Memorial Pavers. Deadline to purchase pavers to be installed for the dedication day of the final phase of the park is June 30. Pavers are $50 -$455 depending on size and inscription. Pavers may be purchased in the parks office during regular business hours, M-F, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
