City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division Hosting Daytrips for Seniors (50+) in March, April and May
Green, OH – This spring the City of Green Parks and Recreation Division is offering three day trips for adults ages 50+ including a lunch at the Hartville Kitchen and maple syrup tour in March, a visit to the Warther’s Museum and Smucker’s Store in April, and a Dover Wineries Tour in May.
D 'n A Maple Syrup & Hartville Kitchen Trip
On March 21, seniors will visit the Hartville Kitchen for lunch and shopping prior to heading to D 'n A Maple Syrup Farm for a tour of their maple syrup facility. Cost is $30 per person, lunch is additional. The bus departs the John Torok Community and Senior Center at 10:45a.m. and returns at approximately 4 p.m. Seniors attending should dress for the weather. Registration is required by March 18.
Warther's Museum & Smucker’s Trip
On April 11, seniors will visit the Warther's Museum in Dover, Ohio for a tour followed by lunch at the Dutch Valley Restaurant and shopping at Smucker’s Store in Orville. Cost is $50 per person with lunch included. The bus departs the Green High School Stadium parking lot at 8:30 a.m. returning at approximately 4:30 p.m. Registration is required by April 5.
Dover Wineries Trip
On May 16, seniors will tour four Dover area wineries as well as the Broad Run Cheese House. Wineries include Silver Moon Winery, School House Winery, Swiss Heritage, and Breitenbach. Lunch will be at the School House Winery. Cost is $20 per person, lunch and tastings are additional. The bus will depart from the Green High School Stadium at 8:30a.m. and return at approximately 6:00p.m. Registration is required by May 10.
