City of Green’s Sporties for Shorties Program Begins end of March
Green, OH –The City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division is offering Sporties for Shorties, a four-week program to introduce children ages 4 to 6 to a variety of sports, beginning Thursday, March 28.
The Sporties for Shorties program is an instructional sports program to educate children on the basic rules, techniques, equipment, and etiquette of popular team sports. Participants will learn the basics of soccer, football, basketball, tee ball, and hockey. This class will meet on Thursday evenings from March 28 through April 25 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Green Intermediate School Gym, 1737 Steese Road.
“This program is a great way to introduce kids to a variety of sports, so they can determine which sport he or she may be interested in pursuing,” said Mike Elkins, superintendent of Parks and Recreation.
The program is co-ed and costs $25 for residents and $35 for each non-residents.
