Green Parks and Recreation Division hosting several Senior Activities including a Picnic in the Park in August and a Bus Trip to see the musical Half-Stitched at the Carlisle Inn in September
Green, OH –The City of Green’s Park and Recreation Division has several senior events planned through the remainder of the year including a picnic in the park in August, and bus trips in September and November.
The annual Senior Picnic-in-the-Park for Green residents 50+ is Thursday, August 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Boettler Park. Park and Recreation Staff members will grill burgers and hotdogs for Green Seniors’ Annual Picnic-in-the-Park. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Registration is required by calling 330-896-6621.
September Bus Trip to Dutch Valley and Carlisle Inn to See Half-Stitched Musical
The first fall bus trip for seniors is September 12 to Amish country to see the musical Half-Stitched at the Carlisle Inn. Departing at 10:30 a.m. from the Green High School Stadium parking lot, the trip includes lunch at the Dutch Valley Restaurant, followed by the performance Half-stitched beginning at 2 p.m. Cost of the trip is $50 per person and includes ticket to the musical and transportation. A November trip to the Hollywood Casino in Toledo is scheduled for Thursday, November 14. Cost is $20 per person with $5 in free play.
