Property Beautification Competition

Welcome Spring!

Celebrate the weather by helping to make Green bloom!  Hoffman's Garden Center has once again partnered with the City of Green to sponsor this year's Property Beautification Competition.

 Enter the 2012 property beautification competition in one of four categories:

1. Hardscapes (w/landscaping)

2. Greenscapes (all landscaping!)

3. Edible Landscaping

4. Water Feature (w/landscaping)

Earn bragging rights to a sign that says "This property is a 2012 beauty!"  Winners will also have $125.00 donated to Green Good Neighbors in their name.

Here are some this year's competition highlights:

  • Application deadline is May 21, 2012 JUNE 1 at 4:00pm.  (Submit in person, via mail or email: sharing@cityofgreen.org)
  • At least two photos must be submitted with the application
  • Eligible properties are those constructed prior to December 31, 2010
  • Must be a City of Green resident and/or business onwer/non-profit owner
  • Properties will be judged the week of July 16, 2012.
  • The beautification competition is designed to showcase beautiful and environmentally wise landscaping.  Green landscaping must be a component of each category.
