Parks & Recreation

Welcome to Green's Parks and Recreation Division!

The Parks and Recreation Division works for you to create community and quality of life through people, parks and programs. With more than 530 acres in ten parks, the Parks and Recreation Division is committed to providing the best overall experience in our award-winning parks, fun, family-friendly special events throughout the year and outstanding recreation programming for children, families, adults and seniors.

Winter is winding down and soon the parks will blossom with park visitors every day.  But until then, there are still opportunities to enjoy your parks in the winter.  Boettler Park is open dawn to dusk for walking and sled riding.  The lower restroom is open year round and is heated.   Southgate Park, too, is open for walking, hiking, dog walking (dogs must remain on a leash), cross country skiing (weather permitting), and wildlife observation.  East Liberty Park is also open for sled riding during the winter months.  However, there is no restroom facility during the winter at East Liberty Park.

Practice safety first in all parks.  Several of our parks have bodies of water.  Please, stay off the ice.

We want to thank you for making Green parks a part of your life!   If we can be of assistance to you and your family please do not hesitate to contact our team!  We're always glad to hear from you!

I'll see you in the parks!
