Green, OH –Mayor Dick Norton is hosting Charting the Course on Economic Development with a focus on sustainability on April 22, 2014, Earth Day.
Mayor Norton will share a brief update on the City’s economic development program, followed by a presentation on Green’s sustainability initiative – Living Green. Attendees will learn how sustainability is making Green a place where people and businesses thrive. The event will include a panel discussion with representatives from three businesses – Diebold, Buehler’s and Guiseppe’s Pizza – discussing how they are implementing sustainable practices that are benefitting people, the planet and increasing their profits.. Yolanda Walker, Executive Director of Reworks will share information about some of her organization’s business services.
“Sustainability is more than just implementing a recycling program,” said Mayor Norton. “Our discussion will show what businesses in Green -- both large and small -- are doing that are making a difference in improving the environment and increasing profits.
