Mayor Dick Norton will present the Charting the Course on Economic Development Seminar with guest speaker Kenneth Jones presenting Navigating the Challenges of Health Care Reform on April 24

Green, OH –Mayor Dick Norton is hosting Charting the Course on Economic Development with guest speaker Kenneth Jones presenting Navigating the Challenges of Health Care Reform for local business leaders on Wednesday, April 24 at 8 a.m. at Green’s Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.

Norton will present an update on the City and its economic development activities followed by a presentation by employee benefit consultant Kenneth Jones, CPA, from Employee Benefits International about the challenges of health care reform for small to mid-sized businesses.

Jones has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry serving as an insurance examiner for the Ohio Department of Insurance from 1990 to 2002, and as director of insurance and risk management for Summit County until 2011. As a director of Employee Benefits International, he assists companies, municipalities and other agencies with understanding and determining their insurance needs. A graduate of Franklin University, Jones is a certified public accountant and a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

“Understanding the new health care regulations is a challenge all businesses have, which is why I have asked Ken Jones to present to our business community,” said Mayor Dick Norton. “He is a dynamic speaker and has a style that makes these somewhat complex regulations easy to understand.”

Mayor Norton presents several Charting the Course presentations to local business leaders each year as a way to keep businesses in Green informed about the City’s progress in its strategic initiatives and economic development efforts. In addition, the event allows city leaders to hear firsthand the challenges, needs and successes of Green’s business community.
