Local Artist Ron Beahn Art on Display in the Lobby of the Central Administration Building until January 2014
Green, OH – As part of the rotating gallery of local art featured at the Central Administration Building, twelve watercolor paintings by well-known Green artist Ron Beahn are on display in the lobby through the holidays.
Ron Beahn, a resident of Green for more than 30 years, is an award-winning watercolor painter who often focuses on the rural areas of southern Ohio for inspiration and the subject matter of his paintings. Beahn, the former curator for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, started painting in 1980. Beahn is owner of Ron Beahn’s Custom Framing in Cuyahoga Falls and is an art consultant for Akron Children’s Hospital. In addition, Ron is the director of the nationally recognized Boston Mills Artfest and is the director of the Canton National Art Show held at the Canton Museum of Art.
In 2012, Beahn painted a landscape of the Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse at Boettler Park in honor of the 20th anniversary of the City’s incorporation. Beahn also produced a watercolor of a local barn for the incorporation of the City in 1992.
The public is invited to visit the Central Administration Building to view the art display Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
