LIVING GREEN is the commitment to operate through the lens of good stewardship for our people, our planet and for prosperity both today and into the future.
In 2012, the City of Green developed the Living Green initiative, a program designed to encourage good stewardship of our planet, our people and our finances. Since that time, through the efforts of the recycling division of the City's Public Service Department, the City has achieved a 26% increase in annual recycling output. The City's current contract for recycling awards this achievement with a rebate of $2039.97.
The City of Green is making available $1000.00 of these rebate funds in the form of Community Grants to be awarded to non-profit organizations, operating within the City whose projects or missions are consistent with the Living Green priorities and that increase our City's livability.
Projects should promote one or more of the following Living Green values:
· Energy Savings
· Water Conservation
· Waste Reduction
· Local Food
· Community/Volunteer Engagement
Applications may be sent by email to email@example.com or by regular U.S. Mail or hand delivered to the City of Green Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Boulevard, Green, Ohio 44232-0278, and must be received by 3 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
