Knit for the Needy Event on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m.

City of Green Parks and Recreation is hosting a Knit for the Needy event
on Thursday, December 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the John Torok Community Center

GREEN, OH - Do you knit or crochet?  Ever wanted to learn?  Join the City of Green on December 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the John Torok Senior/Community Center at its Knit for the Needy event.

New or experienced knitters or crocheters of any age are invited to help knit or crochet blankets, scarves and hats for the needy.   Yarn and materials will be provided; however, participants are asked to bring their own size 8 knitting needles or crochet hooks (size H).     Judi Hederich, owner of My Sister's Yarn Shop, will be on hand to teach and assist.  All created items will be donated to Green Good Neighbors.   

It is free to attend and lunch will be provided.  Registration is required.  Please call the Park and Recreation office at 330-896-6621 to register.
