City of Green’s Annual Veterans Day Ceremony, featuring Speaker Drew Alexander, Summit County Sheriff and Army Veteran, is Sunday, November 11 at 2 p.m. at the Green Veterans Memorial Park
Green, OH – The City of Green’s annual Veterans Day ceremony will be held at the Green Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 Steese Road, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 11.
Drew Alexander, current Summit County Sheriff whose term ends Dec. 31, 2012, and Army veteran, will be the keynote speaker.
The City of Green Veterans Memorial Park was built in 2010 through the generous donations of local businesses, individuals and organizations.
“Veterans Day is a day to thank and honor all of the veterans who have served our country and I invite all to attend,” said Mayor Dick Norton. “This is why we built this Veterans Park so we can gather to honor those who have served.”
Following the ceremony, light refreshments will be served in the John Torok Community and Senior Center, 4224 Massillon Road.
