City of Green Hosting a Free Rain Barrel Workshop On March 9
Green, OH – The City of Green is partnering with Water Xscapes (formerly Hoffman’s Garden Center) to offer a free rain barrel workshop on Saturday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Boulevard.
The workshop, geared to homeowners, will be presented by Bill Hoffman, owner of Water Xscapes and Kyle Lukes, a landscape architect with Environmental Design Group. The seminar/workshop will share the many benefits of rain harvesting as well as demonstrate how to install a rain barrel.
Registration is required for this seminar by calling 330-896-6621 or online at www.cityofgreen.org. Attendees of the workshop will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two rain barrels.
“Last year we had to close registration for this workshop,” said Sarah Haring, community development administrator. “Harvesting rain water is something that resonates with a lot of homeowners.”
