Green Continues Natural Gas Aggregration Program with Vectren

Green, Ohio (February 17, 2012) - City of Green officials are pleased to announce the continuation of their natural gas aggregation program for another two years with Vectren Source as the City's selected supplier. City officials would like to remind residents and small businesses to look for a mailer to arrive on or about February 23 concerning the natural gas aggregation program.

Mayor Dick Norton said, "Vectren Source will be sending out similar letters to three groups of customers in our community inviting them to join the program. Residents and businesses currently in the program and those who have not chosen a supplier will receive an opt-out letter from Vectren Source. These account holders will be automatically included in the City's program unless they opt out during a 21-day period as stated in the letter. A similar mailer will be sent to customers who are served by other suppliers. This group will need to contact Vectren to enroll in the program."

Residents or small businesses currently served by another supplier will receive a similar letter and may seek enrollment in the City's aggregation program as directed in that letter. Further, residents served by other suppliers are encouraged to review the terms and conditions of their current supplier agreement before enrolling. New customers to the program must be in good standing and cannot be part of the utility's Percentage of Income Payment Program (PIPP).

The City is pleased to have made this program possible but asks that you do not call the City offices. They are not equipped to handle a large volume of calls. Residents should contact Vectren Source toll free at 1-866-200-5419 if they have any questions.
