Green City Council’s Annual Get the Scoop, an Ice Cream Social, is Thursday, August 31 at 7 p.m. at Central Park Community Hall, 1795 Steese Road
Green, OH – The Green City Council invites the community to Get the Scoop, an ice cream social, on Thursday, August 31 at 7 p.m. at the Central Park Community Hall, 1795 Steese Road. This informal meeting is free to attend and all ages are welcome. Parking is available at Central Park and the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.
City Council members will be serving up bowls of ice cream, complements of Pav’s Creamery of Green, followed by a brief update on the City of Green. In addition Council members will present residents who completed the City of Green Silver Coin 25th Anniversary Challenge with their silver coins. Residents interested having their coin presented to them should contact City Council by August 25.
At the end of the brief presentation, council members will take questions as well as meet one-on-one with residents.
“These annual meetings are an informal way for residents to meet their council members,” said Chris Humphrey, City Council president and at-large council member. “We understand that regular council meetings can be very formal and this informal ice cream social is a way for us to meet with residents, so that in the future residents feel comfortable calling us with their concerns, ideas or suggestions.”
