The July 7, 2010 meeting of the Design Review Board has been cancelled.  The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 8:30am.

Design Review Board

The Design Review Board meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. in Council Chambers located at 1755 Town Park Boulevard.

The Design Review Board consists of five (5) members one member of which is appointed by the Mayor and two members by appointment of City Council.  The City Engineer and the Director of Planning comprise the other two members of this board.

The Design Review Board was established in 1999 and is charged with the review of design elements submitted for review including:

  • Site layout
  • Architectural style
  • Height, width, scale and proportion
  • Orientation
  • Materials
  • Architectural details
  • Building-mounted utilites/mechanical
  • Accessory structures
  • Circulation
  • Parking facilities
  • Loading facilities
  • Access for public safety services
  • Landscape design
  • Utilities and lighting
  • Signs
  • Waste storage

The recommendation of the Design Review Board is considered by the Planning & Zoning Commission as a part of their review and decision process.
