Community Improvement Corporation
The Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) was activated and utilized
for the first time in 2001. The CIC is a vehicle that can be used
to effect land acquisition and sale for economic development purposes,
most notably being the FedEx Custom Critical project, where property was
purchased by the City and transferred to the CIC to be sold to FedEx Custom
Critical to finalize the project. Additional City-owned lands may
be transferred to the CIC to further the city's goals.
